After more than 20 years in real estate, I have seen it all. Every imaginable shiny ball to entice buyers and sellers to use particular agents to sell a home. This virtual piñata is loaded with goodies that promise a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow if you can just bust it open. And then of course, the “tech savvy agents” that do everything possible to communicate to the client – EXCEPT actually communicate WITH the client.

I know, I know, we are in a tech age. I get it, and I appreciate all the latest gadgets that REALLY do assist me in my business. BUT, I have not found the shiny object yet that will actually sell a home. It takes more than fancy programs and high tech, it takes a focused and knowledgeable real estate professional.

Client-agent communication is paramount in selling a luxury home. Hmmm, let me see, pick up the phone, send a direct email or text, or plan a one-on-one – things a bright and shiny object is NOT going to do. It is my job to streamline and manage client communications throughout the real estate transaction using all the tools available to me and accepted by my seller. And while 51% of consumers find the home they eventually purchase online, 88% STILL rely on the expertise of an agent to aid them in that search (NAR). Knowing how to manage my buyers expectations with expert and skilled communications is also something you cannot overlook.

Don’t be fooled by high tech programs and shiny promises of pots-of-gold at the end of the rainbow. When you need an agent to help you buy or sell a home, you want someone who knows what’s what in your area of interest. NOTHING takes the place of direct, professional communications from your local real estate expert. Nothing is more shiny and holds more magic than old-fashioned service and sincere knowledge from an individual that has your best interest at heart.
